‘Lord Of Tears’ Scares Up A Chilling New Trailer & Kick-Starter Campaign

Late last year, THN were lucky enough to bring our readers some exclusive eerie content from gothic-horror, LORD OF TEARS. The independently produced film is written by Sarah Daly and directed by Lawrie Brewster, and follows the chilling tale of school teacher James Findlay (Euan Douglas), a man plagued by recurring nightmares of a foreboding figure. Suspecting that his visions may be linked to a childhood incident, James returns to his former home where he soon falls for mysterious and aspiring dancer Eve (rising stunner Lexy Hulme). Helping him unravel the history of the house, James finally uncovers the disturbing truth behind his dreams, which come with some shocking answers. Veteran British actor David Schofield (GLADIATOR, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, FROM HELL) co-stars.

LORD OF TEARS is now complete, and Brewster and is offering genre fans the opportunity to pre-order his film through a Kickstarter campaign, which will then fund a tour of the film and further marketing. We’ve added Brewster’s introduction video giving all the details, as well as a brand new unsettling trailer for the horror expected later in the year.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
