‘Wonder Woman’ Battles Nazis In Impressive Action-Packed Viral Short

Some of us here at THN have had misgivings about see the Amazonian princess, WONDER WOMEN, kicking ass alongside Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent’s super-powered alter-egos in a future JUSTICE LEAGUE team-up. Not wanting to sound like a misogynist but part of that has to do with seeing the female DC comic-book character camped up in the 1970s series, with Bambi-eyed beauty, Lynda Carter in the lead. However, this brand new short viral film may just put those fears to rest as Danish singer Nina Bergman takes on the title role in this ace little feature directed by veteran stuntman-turned-filmmaker, Jesse V. Johnson.

The short is self-financed and is fast becoming a way of being noticed in the business. Johnson’s no stranger to directing though. He was most recently at the helm for the WWE actioner, THE PACKAGE, starring ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and this could be his way of saying “I’ll be willing to give Wonder Woman a shot”. Peter Stormare and Timothy V. Murphy play a couple of the evil Nazis. Does it work for you? Thoughts?

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
