Wally Pfister’s directorial debut, TRANSCENDENCE, is looking to be an extremely enticing piece of cinema. The Academy Award winning Cinematographer has his usual working partner, Christopher Nolan, on board as Executive Producer along with Nolan’s wife, Emma Thomas. The cast is looking exciting as well as the underrated Paul Bettany now onboard to co-star opposite the already confirmed Johnny Depp with Rebecca Hall recently signed up for the female lead character.
The film’s story centres around three scientists who develop an artificial intelligence program in which a person can upload their entire consciousness. Naturally, that invention won’t turn out smoothly. The story sounds great, the talent is almost all in place, and now we know when exactly we can expect to see the finished product as the film has been slated for a 25th April 2014 worldwide release.
