Another Hollywood remake I hear you cry? Could MODERN FAMILY’s Sofia Vergara help cushion that blow?
It looks like Vergara is in talks to star opposite token hard nut Jason Statham for the remake of the 1986 film HEAT, which originally starred Burt Reynolds. If you have been living under a rock, HEAT will tell the story of a recovering gambler-now-bodyguard who works in Las Vegas. He decides to help a friend after she is attacked by the mob.
Simon West (CON AIR, LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER) will be directing the project. William Goldman, who wrote the novel and the 1986 version of the film, has also penned the script for the remake.
