Superman possible filming location confirmed

Just a small titbit of film information here.  According to The Globe and Mail Zack Synder‘s SUPERMAN reboot will be filmed in Vancouver, Canada.  Peter Leitch, the Chairman of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of BC and president of North Shore Studios and Mammoth Studios stated that Synder’s next production will be taking place in Vancouver.

Over the years Vancouver has become a powerhouse for film production especially the superhero kind with HULK, the X-MEN films, WATCHMEN and many others shoot up in Canada.

There has been lots of casting rumours over the last two months concerning who will be strapping on the cape.  One of the fans favorites for a long while was that of MAD MEN’s Jon Hamm but were quickly shot down by the actor himself.  Now the frontrunner seems to be TRUE BLOOD‘s Joe Manganiello, stating he would be honoured to play Superman and work with the director.  Another frontrunner, but for the role of Lois Lane is Anne Hathaway.  At this point these are still speculations and no official word has been announced but stay tuned.  SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL is looking at a December 2012 release.

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
