Fans of Suzanne Collins’ vicious Young Adult novel series will no doubt be eager to see more barbaric behaviour from the contestants of THE HUNGER GAMES. Last year saw Gary Ross bring us a pretty good adaptation of the first of Collins’ novels, that for all the surprising box-office success, just lacked a little of the ruthless bite of the book. Still, sequel CATCHING FIRE will no doubt see fans flock to see what’s in store for bow-carrying heroine, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and charmless pair Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth).
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is this time directed by Francis Lawrence, and also sees the return of Donald Sutherland, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci and Tobey Jones. Newcomers to the franchise include Jeffrey Wright, Amanda Plummer, Sam Claflin, Jenna Malone and the excellent, Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
