Known for shaking his hips in Dancing With The Stars Derek Hough will be following in his younger sister Julianne’s footsteps with an acting role! It has been revealed that he will be joining ABC’s country smash Nashville for its third season.
Hough will be playing the role of Noah West, a charming but very suspicious movie star who will come in contact with the players of Nashville’s music realm when he is lined up for a leading role in a biopic about a famous country singer. Hough joins a line up of new Nashville cast members including Laura Benanti, Brette Taylor and SPY KIDS actress Alexa PenaVega.
Hough’s role is set to be a multi-episode arc, making it Hough’s first proper acting role since 2011’s MAKE YOUR MOVE. If you are a fan of Dancing With The Stars do not fret, Hough is still set to be in the show’s 19th season.
Nashville, which stars Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton, will return September 24th on ABC.
