One of the finest films and adaptations of recent times, GONE GIRL, shone out in all its darkness and intelligence and it’s available to buy now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital download.
Based on the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn, GONE GIRL delivers critically-acclaimed performances from Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike and the entire all-star ensemble.
Directed by David Fincher, the film unearths the dark secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?
It’s an immense film and if you haven’t see it yet, you should. For the moment though, watch this short clip where Ben Affleck talks about the darkness but also the enjoyment of getting into the character:
