Later this year we will get the chance to welcome Bruce Campbell and his character Ash back to the screen in a new horror spin-off series Ash vs. Evil Dead. The original Starz production will be based around famous character and Sam Raimi’s epic Evil Dead universe.
According to reports, Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.
Lucy Lawless, Jill Marie Jones, Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo are also amongst the cast.

Raimi will direct the first episode in the series, which airs on the Starz network in late 2015. We are awaiting a UK debut for the series, but we’ll bring you news as we get it.
