There’s some fantastic news for fans of the popular Marvel TV shows, as the studio have confirmed both Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D and Marvel’s Agent Carter will be making a return to the small screen, following a string of renewals by television network ABC.
In a brief statement, the comicbook powerhouse have announced a third series of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D and a second for Agent Carter which are both due to be aired on ABC, though other details are currently thin on the ground.
With Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D ‘s second series currently airing here in the UK (whilst Agent Carter is yet to reach our shores) it’s difficult to predict either shows’ direction. Needless to say though, this is great news for fans of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe and again underlines their strength across the board.
Elsewhere ABC’s full 22-strong list of renewals has been confirmed, including popular dramas Castle, Scandal, Nashville and Grey’s Anatomy alongside comedies Modern Family and The Middle.
Other dramas selected for renewal include How to Get Away with Murder, American Crime, Secrets and Lies and Once Upon a Time, with comedies Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat, The Goldbergs and Galavant all getting the go-ahead for another outing.
The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Shark Tank, Beyond the Tank and 20/20 were also confirmed in the comprehensive list, though again, no release dates have yet been confirmed.
