Technology truly is advancing at an unprecedented rate.
Although, when people think about technology, most tend to conjure up thoughts of revolutionary tech that is going to change the world, and not about the day-to-day advantages that technology can bring.
Even though a good film might not be able to revolutionise the world, it can certainly give you a full night of fun and give you something to think about for weeks on end.
2022 is going to be a great year for home entertainment, and if you love just kicking back and relaxing at home, you are going to be in for an amazing time.
In this article, we will be talking about what’s going to change with home entertainment in 2022, while also touching upon a few of the trends we expect to see pop up next year.
The Rise Of The Online Casino
Throughout the whole of 2021, we have seen online casinos garner much more popularity, much more than ever before.
Online casinos have always had an astronomically large player-base, but only recently have they been able to get together the number of users for people in other industries to actually take note.
So, as you’d expect, online casinos are more than likely going to have an amazing year heading into 2022, and we may even see them make their way into the mainstream.
If you go and take a look at any reputable online casino you will see this newfound growth being reflected by the number of players who are mid-game at any given time.
It will certainly be a change of pace if online casinos do happen to make it into the mainstream, and it will be interesting to see what implications that may have on the gaming industry as a whole.
Consoles Are Beginning To Win The War
For the first time in history, consoles now stand a chance against the previously unrivalled PC.
The newest generation of consoles are so technologically advanced that they are now somewhat comparable to a good high-end PC, and this is something that people are just not used to seeing.
Of course, at the highest end of things, PC’s will always have access to superior capabilities. Technology for PC’s is always leaps and bounds ahead of what is available for consoles, and they will always get first access to the latest and greatest technology.
However, if you do not have a spare mansion to sell in order to afford a super high-end PC, then you may be much better off going with a PS5 or Xbox as you would be able to get comparable tech for a much more reasonable price.
In fact, when it comes to the debate of consoles vs PC for gaming, we may actually be able to wholly give this one to consoles now.
When you combine the fact that consoles can now reach 120fps as well as 4k graphics with how easy they are to use and how much better they feel to operate when compared to the keyboard and mouse, they now may even be able to give users a better overall experience.
In 2022 it is likely that we may begin to see this have an effect on the gaming industry. PC’s are becoming more and more expensive while offering smaller increments of improvement, while consoles find themselves offering a comparable experience for a much more affordable price tag.
VR Will Become Mainstream
VR has been in the pipeline for a while now, and it is looking like 2022 may be the first year where it makes its big debut to the world to show what it is truly capable of.
As things stand now, VR is already extraordinarily advanced. However, compared to what we may see in 2022, we haven’t seen anything.
Instead of waiting for the Dune release date to draw near so you can have the optimal experience at a cinema, in 2022, it would not be a surprise if VR became the new best way to experience all forms of entertainment.
There is even tech in the works that allows people to feel and touch in virtual reality, taking movies & gaming to a whole different level.
No one really knows the true possibilities of VR at this point in time, and it is likely that the world will never look the same once VR becomes more advanced and enters the mainstream.
Moreover, this is exactly what we may begin to see throughout 2022. VR tech as a whole is becoming much cheaper than it was just a few years ago, and it is more than possible that the average family will be able to get their hands on the latest and most up-to-date VR tech on the market for a more than reasonable price.
The future of VR is certainly looking bright, and we can’t wait to see how it has an effect on the world next year.
Excited to see what 2022 holds in store? We know we are.
Who knows what else will end up occurring in 2022. Perhaps some new revolutionary technology comes around halfway through the year and changes how home entertainment looks forever.
Only time will tell.
However, for now, we have some of the best entertainment options in history within just the click of a button, and there has never been a better time to have a night-in.
Have fun.
