A debut trailer has landed for Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber, a new Showtime series led by Joseph Gordon-Levitt set for our screens later this year. The series tells the story of the app with Gordon-Levitt playing the role of its founder, and eventually ousted CEO, Travis Kalanick.
Not too long to wait for the this one either, as it is set to land on Showtime from 27th February.
The series will “depict the roller-coaster ride of the upstart transportation company, embodying the highs and lows of Silicon Valley. Even amid the radical upheaval generated within the global tech capital, Uber stands out as both a marvel and a cautionary tale, featuring internal and external battles that ripple with unpredictable consequences.”
The series is based on the 2019 book of the same name by Mike Isaac, created for the small screen by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the duo behind the likes of Billions, and movies Ocean’s Thirteen and Rounders. Sounds good.
No news on when this will pop up on UK TV, but most Showtime content usually heads to Sky Atlantic. We’ll keep you posted.
Here’s the teaser trailer.
