I’ve had my eye on this one for a while and now it can be confirmed that the Den of Thieves 2 UK release date – full title Den of Thieves: Pantera – has been confirmed for April on Prime Video.
Signature Entertainment has this one for the UK and confirmed that it will roll out on the streamer on 25th April. This follows the U.S. release in cinemas on 10th January this year.
Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. return as Detective ‘Big Nick’ O’Brien and master thief Donnie Wilson in Den of Thieves: Pantera, the sequel to the 2018 action-heist hit.
Now, the stakes have never been higher as enemies become allies. The innate brotherhood, humour, and tension between Nick and Donnie reach new heights as they join forces to plot a massive heist at the world’s largest diamond exchange.
The full cast is Gerard Butler (300), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Michael Bisping (xXx: Return of Xander Cage), Salvatore Esposito (Gomorrah) and Orli Shuka (All the Old Knives). Den of Thieves: Pantera is produced by 50 Cent (Power franchise) and is written and directed by Christian Gudegast (Den of Thieves).
A Den of Thieves 3 is apparently in the works after the second film’s impressive run in cinemas earlier this year with $57 million taken up until this point. The Den Of Thieves 2 UK release date will only add more to that figure but a straight to streaming release makes the figures slightly more tricky to work out. Still, it’s a great success for an original franchise and a sequel I can’t wait to see as I loved Den Of Thieves when that was released back in 2018.
