STUDIOCANAL, URBAN MYTH FILMS, MILLENNIUM, and G-BASE have announced that Shadow Has Fallen is on the way. Production is already taking place in the UK and South Africa. The six-parter is the follow-up to Paris Has Fallen and the upcoming Apollo Has Fallen, which is set to land this autumn. It is, of course, also a spin-off from the three ‘Has Fallen’ movies with Gerard Butler: Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Angel Has Fallen.
Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy, Polite Society) and Tewfik Jallab (Spiral, Dark Hearts) reprise their respective roles as fearless MI6 operative Zara Taylor (Arya) and former French Secret Service agent Vincent Taleb (Jallab).
Joining the cast for season 3 are Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones, Misfits), Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey, Hit Point) & Atandwa Kani (Black Panther, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom).
The new six-episode season is once again written by series creator Howard Overman (War of The Worlds, Misfits, Hit Point) who said:
“There’s a scale to Season 3 that we’ve been building towards since PARIS HAS FALLEN, and all of us at Urban Myth Films are thrilled that STUDIOCANAL chose to back the future of this franchise in such a timely fashion. SHADOW HAS FALLEN will see Vincent and Zara embark on their most demanding and morally challenging mission – a mission that takes them into the very heart of Southern Africa.
Marco Kreuzpaintner (Bodies, The Lazarus Project) & Alice Troughton (The Living and The Dead, Cucumber, Dr Who) are attached to direct.
Paris Has Fallen premiered on Prime Video in the UK in November 2024, and on HULU stateside in December of that year.
