Camelot meets Wedding Crashers?

It’s King Arthur as you’ve never seen him before (unless we’re talking about Clive Owen’s KING ARTHUR, which nobody saw at all) as Warner Bros have acquired the latest screenplay by WEDDING CRASHERS director David Dobkin. ARTHUR & LANCELOT is a reimagining (a term forever associated with Tim Burton’s PLANET OF THE APES…um…) of the Arthurian legend in a contemporary setting, according to comingsoon.net and deadline.com

Intriguing, no? Also, let’s consider Dobkin’s on-screen counterpart Vince Vaughn, as the two collaborated on CLAY PIGEONS, FRED CLAUS and of course CRASHERS. Could Vaughn be cast as a modern day King Arthur? In which case Lancelot could only be played by fellow Crasher Owen Wilson, who also starred in Dobkin’s SHANGHAI KNIGHTS. Given the directors penchant for double acts and knockabout comedy (the working title does sound like a buddy movie), this could have great potential. Throw in Christopher Walken as Merlin and we’re onto something incredible here. HEY! Ya know… I’m… a WIZ…ard!

John is a gentleman, a scholar, he’s an acrobat. He is one half of the comedy duo Good Ol’ JR, and considers himself a comedy writer/performer. This view has been questioned by others. He graduated with First Class Honours in Media Arts/Film & TV, a fact he will remain smug about long after everyone has stopped caring. He enjoys movies, theatre, live comedy and writing with the JR member and hetero life partner Ryan. Some of their sketches can be seen on YouTube and YOU can take their total hits to way over 17!
