A new trailer has dropped for acclaimed filmmaker Hirokazu Koreeda’s latest, Look Back. The film is an adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s one-shot manga of the same name.
The film premiered at the 2026 Venice Film Festival and received good word of mouth from critics. It is about two young manga artists who form a deep friendship and creative partnership, only to face a devastating loss that forces one of them to confront grief, regret, and the meaning of creating art.
A 2026 release is on the cards, though I can’t see a specific release date as yet, though we’ll keep you posted.
